2nd Birthday Bash
But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command. May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.
2 Thessalonians 3:3-5
Belle City Church was able to celebrate it second birthday this last Sunday. We took time to sing praise to the Lord for who He is. We reflected on 2 Thessalonians 3:3-5 and talked about His love, protection, and faithfulness to us as individuals and as a church. Then, we celebrated by enjoying a breakfast together. So many people brought so many delicious dishes to share!
Someone asked me, "Why do you take a whole Sunday to celebrate?" It is important for us to take time and acknowledge God for his faithfulness and work to us and through us. If we don't take time to glorify Him for what He has done, it becomes easier for us to think that we have done the work and that we deserve the praise.
We are excited to see what year three will bring! Here is what we know will happen: God will continue to be faithful because that is who he is, He will continue to use His people to share the Good News of Jesus, and He will continue to show love to us in all circumstances. We trust that this year will be even better than last and we look forward to God doing great things through Belle City Church!
